Last week at Cubs, Shere Khan (Paul) was presented with his wood beads by Stella Callow our Assistant District Commissioner. Part of being a leader in the Scout Association is the completion of all areas of your training. This includes training on the safe guarding of our young people, leadership, safety, first-aid and many other areas which all goes to help us ‘do our best’ as leaders. Once this has been completed (and it can take many months) leaders are awarded what are known as ‘wood beads’ which they can wear around their necks as a symbol of what they have achieved. Shere Khan completed his training last year but we have finally managed to award him his beads so well done and congratulations to him from us all.
