Last weekend a group of us spent a lot of hours: stripping the old boards off the walls, preparing the old surface and coating the hut in the primer coat that seals all the old cracks and imperfections. It was hard work but we have finished stage 1. Thanks to everyone who turned up to help as it made the whole thing much quicker. However there is still much to do as next weekend we will be adding the 2 coats of green protection paint to complete the job and WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP. Please come along and lend a hand to keep your hut waterproof even if it’s just for 1 hour your help will be welcome. Be warned though that this green paint is extremely sticky as it has to be to be fully waterproof – so if you come to paint then wear clothes/footwear that won’t matter if it gets covered – this stuff does not wash off easily – you have been warned.
