The 12th at the 2018 Remembrance Day Parade

The 2018 Remembrance Day service was especially poignant this year as it marked 100 years to the day since the armistice was signed at the end of the First World War. Along with the military and other groups, the 12th marched from town to St.Mary’s church to attend the service and then marched back into the town.  It was wonderful to see large numbers of people lining the route and clapping the marchers and we had a terrific turnout of Cubs and Scouts so thank you to all who were able to attend. The service itself was very moving as we all remembered so many who had given their lives during the First World War and other wars and it was a fitting tribute.
