Last weekend saw around 60 Beavers (and lots of leaders and helpers) from all over the District, get together at our HQ for a day full of fun and enjoyment. It was snowing outside which meant they had to stay indoors but with typical Scouting ingenuity the outdoor campfire became a gather around a heater, the football became table football and there was also a St Patrick’s Day theme with paper shamrocks being made and other tasks to do. The day was finished off with a hearty bowl of Irish Stew and soda bread for everyone made by our very own District Commissioner, Rebecca Ferris (thanks Becky).
Huge thanks go to all who helped plan the event and run it on the day and especially to our own wonderful Beaver leader – Rowan (Charlie) along with Kirsty, Sarah, Ben and I am sure others too – apologies if I have missed your name. Thank you all for your help.
