The 12th Andover West Cubs had a wonderful time attending the Hampshire County Cub Scout 110-year anniversary Jamboree held at Foxlease campsite in Lyndhurst, the New Forest, during the May bank holiday weekend.

The camp started Friday evening with parents helping both Cubs and leaders pitch the tents and organise the group kit; the group flag was raised, and the Cubs were escorted down to the main stage for an opening disco. After breakfast on Saturday morning, the Jamboree was officially opened by the event organisers before the start of 2 full days of activities including:
Climbing Walls, Archery, Rafting, Circus skills, Abseiling, Wide games, Sports day themed events, Hampshire Air Ambulance & Hampshire Police information zones, Hampshire Scout Heritage stall, Crafting, Escape Room, Sensory room, Bouldering room, Campfire sing along, Scouting themed Quiz Night and many more!

The whole weekend was jam-packed with amazing activities and adventures, with over 1500 people attending! The Cub leaders would like to thank all the parents for their help and support in transporting the group kit. We would like to thank Dan (the Scout leader), who also attended the weekend; we could’ve done it without you!

A special thanks to the event organisers and Foxlease for hosting the Jamboree; all the Cubs had a brilliant time.
