The 12th Andover (West) Scout Group

'The Best' - scouting since 1967

Welcome to the 12th Andover (West) Scout Group – a friendly, active community where young people discover new skills, make friends, and enjoy adventures that stay with them for life.

We’re proud to be part of the Andover District in North Hampshire. Our Group meets at the Scout Hut on West Portway in Andover, a welcoming base for all our activities. You’ll find full details on our contact page.

We offer Scouting for every age, with thriving sections:

  • Squirrels
  • Beavers
  • Cubs
  • Scouts

We also host an Explorer Unit and a Network section, giving young people a full journey through Scouting as they grow.

Our Scout Hut is a fantastic space for learning and adventure, with:

  • A spacious, well-equipped hall
  • A large, secure car park
  • A fully enclosed outdoor area ideal for games, camps, and events

The size and safety of our grounds mean we can run exciting activities right here on site.

Scouting gives young people the chance to try new things, build confidence, and develop skills for life. From teamwork and leadership to problem‑solving and resilience, Scouting helps them grow into capable, caring, and active members of their community – all while having fun and making memories.
